Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating automated machinery, including both CNC machines and cam-operated equipment, and setting up and maintaining screw machines to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate automated machinery, including CNC machines and cam-operated equipment
• Set up and maintain screw machines and CNC machines to produce quality parts
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to determine machine setup requirements
• Monitor production and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality standards
• Conduct regular machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation and product quality
• Ensure part quality and productivity using measuring instruments and gauges
• Have the ability to read technical drawings or quickly learn this skill
• Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest improvements
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Use basic tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
• Possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness
• Pay close attention to detail
• Be able to evaluate a situation and suggest improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of machine setup and operation
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Metal fabrication experience in a machine shop (preferred).
• Rate of pay will be commensurate with experience and knowledge.
